MBA and MBA/JD candidates benefit from the Institute for Leadership Advancement in a variety of ways.

MBA Integrity Course: A one credit hour professional development course offered to MBA and MBA/JD students. The focus of this course is the development of personal integrity, personal values, ethics, and their congruence in professional and personal action. The Institute for Leadership Advancements provides supplemental funds for the purchase of educational software to help students discover their “ethical lens” and enhance their ability to identify ethical dilemmas and make better decisions as leaders and managers.

Executive Speaker Series: Each Fall and Spring Semesters, the Institute offers 3 Executive Speaker sessions entitled “Success Beyond the Major.” These sessions offer students the opportunity to receive professional advice and to interact with some of our region’s most successful business and non-profit leaders.

MBA Action-Learning: MBA students who work in teams for the Action-Learning capstone course may apply for $500 of funding to complete their team project while creating the most hands-on experience possible. Funding may be used in a variety of ways: project management tools, focus groups, marketing research, seed money to invest in proposed business solution, field trips, and more!
