CBA Students Meet with Warren Buffett in Omaha

Every year Warren Buffett, the second richest man in the world, invites several schools from all over the globe to visit his world headquarters for one day and learn about business, ethics, and life. The University of Akron was fortunate enough to be invited this year. In November, Dr. Todd Finkle and 27 business students traveled to Omaha.

Students Create Marketing Campaign for Downtown Akron Partnership

The following video was created as part of a project for the Integrated Marketing Communication class taught by Dr. Federico de Gregorio in Spring 2009. The video was created as part of a marketing plan for Downtown Akron Partnership organization. This team won the competition for the best marketing plan.

CBA Faculty Win Project GRAD Akron Award

Dr. William Hauser and Dr. Deborah Owens, associate professors in the Department of Marketing, along with other staff and faculty from The University of Akron, were recognized for their volunteer efforts with Project Grad Akron at an award dinner at Quaker Station on October 22, 2009.

Alum Jeremy Sallee Hired by Reebok International

Jeremy Sallee will be designing and working with other Reebok footwear designers for 11 months at Reebok International in Canton, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston). He was chosen to be one of three footwear design apprentices after he completed a shoe design project for the company.
