The Tax Executives Institute of Cleveland, a professional organization made up of senior corporate tax executives, invites students and faculty to attend their professional development meeting on Wednesday, November 28, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in CBA 120, University of Akron campus. University faculty and students are welcome to attend at no charge.
The speakers will be Brendan Cox, Craig Frabotta and William Nolan of Ernst & Young and they will present the following Federal & State & Local Tax topics:
- Current Status of “Fiscal Cliff” & Extenders
- Legislative update from Washington
- Tax Reform & Year-End Planning
- Tangible Personal Property Regs.
- State of the States – Legislative Update
Brendan Cox is a Partner in the East Central Sub Area Federal Tax Practice and serves the EY Center for Tax Policy (CTP), where he focuses on tax policy issues and provides guidance on legislative procedure, modeling and planning.
Craig Frabotta is a Principal with Ernst & Young, where he consults primarily in the area of Federal taxation. Craig is a member of the firm’s Quantitative Services (QS) practice which is focused on assisting clients with the application of federal tax laws and regulations to their specific facts and businesses in two main technical areas: Accounting Methods and Inventory and Research Credit Services.
Bill Nolan is Executive Director, Indirect Taxes at Ernst & Young LLP. He serves a variety of clients ranging from multinational public to closely-held private companies in the manufacturing, consumer products and financial services industries.
