What: As part of the H. Peter Burg Personal Leadership and Development Speaker Series, The University of Akron alumnus, CEO of Main Street Gourmet and founder of the Road Runner Akron Marathon, Steven Marks, will be speaking and answering questions from students. Breakfast will be provided.

When: October 24^th, 2012 7:00-9:00am

Why: The “H. Peter Burg Personal Leadership and Development Speaker Series” was created and funded in 2012 to provide an opportunity for business students to learn from Akron business leaders who exemplify the qualities, ethics, and sense of public service demonstrated by H. Peter Burg. Important topics include:

• Developing strong character and values
• Personal accountability
• Knowing who you are.
• Civic service and leadership
• Moving your life in the direction you want it to go
• A leader’s role in making things better for others
• Balancing your time to achieve the greatest results in life at work and in the community
