Evgeniy Lapshin, an International Business alumni and a member of the Institute for Global Business Advisory Board, has been appointed as the CEO of TNK-Nyagan, a key subsidiary of TNK-BP.
Lapshin assumed the position of General Director, OJSC TNK-Nyagan in June 2012. This appointment will enable TNK-Nyagan to adopt the successful experience of optimizing operations, delegation and management of the investment process used in OJSC SNG. The appointment also gives one of the Company’s high-potential employees the experience of managing an operational subsidiary. Lapshin has previously worked in various TNK-BP Group companies as CFO OJSC SNG, CFO BU Nyagan, and Director Economics and Investment Governance BU Orenburg.
Lapshin served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Samotlornefetgaz which operates the biggest oil field in Russia and is the biggest subsidiary of TNK-BP. TNK-BP is a 50/50 joint venture between BP and a group of Russian shareholders, the third largest oil company in Russia and one of the top ten non-state oil companies in the world. In his current position, Lapshin manages a total annual budget of $1.5 bln. and an investment portfolio of 50+ projects. He is responsible for planning, forecasting, monitoring and control, economic analysis, presides over the tender committee and is the company’s ethics expert.
Prior to coming to Samotlorneftegaz, Lapshin was CFO at Business Unit Nyagan and Director of Economics and Investment Governance at Business Unit Orenburg, all subsidiaries of TNK-BP.
Lapshins interests are travelling and sports: basketball, volleyball, and tennis.
