CBA’s MBA Concentration in Health Care Management Among Most Affordable

MBA Healthcare Management, an online resource that shares expert information about top accredited schools for health care management, has named The University of Akron College of Business Administration’s (UA CBA) MBA concentration in Health Care Management (MBA-HC) to its list of the Top 50 Most Affordable MBA-HC tuitions in the country.

Coming in at number 23, the graduate program gets kudos for the excellent reputation of the College of Business Administration and for its research-oriented programs and hands-on learning projects. Students also benefit from UA’s proximity to some of the world’s best health care facilities.

In June 2015, Forbes magazine reported that health care remains one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy. Value added

"Many health care organizations are undergoing change and they need managers and leaders that can make good business decisions," says Dr. Steven Ash, professor and chair of UA's Department of Management. "Health care organizations of all types and sizes have found that the skills associated with the MBA provide great value.

"In particular, MBA graduates are able to lead efforts in operations, information systems, patient care and general management functions," Ash continues. "We are proud of the mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills that we provide with all of our graduate programs and the concentration in health care is particularly relevant to northeast Ohio."
