CBA Alumnus Named Burg Award Winner04/15/2010
Donald Misheff ’78, Northeast Ohio Managing Partner of Ernst & Young professional services firm, received the H. Peter Burg Award at the Greater Akron Chamber's 2010 Annual Meeting on March 16, 2010. Misheff is the sixth recipient of the H. Peter Burg Award.
Since earning his bachelor's degree in accounting from The University of Akron in 1978, Misheff has demonstrated his dedication to Akron and surrounding communities. His efforts in marketing the region and supporting young professionals are reflected in his leadership involvement in economic and community initiatives.
Misheff currently serves on the boards of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Team NEO, Cleveland Plus, Firestone Country Club, Playhouse Square Foundation and BioEnterprise. He has served on the boards of WAPS 91.3, Walsh Jesuit High School, and The University of Akron Foundation and is an alumnus of Leadership Cleveland.
Misheff received the CBA’s Dr. Frank L. Simonetti Distinguished Business Alumni Award in 1994 and has been named by Inside Business Magazine among the "100 Most Influential People" in Northeast Ohio.
The H. Peter Burg Economic Development Leadership Award was created by the Chamber's Executive Committee and the Akron Tomorrow Trustees to recognize a local business leader who demonstrates extraordinary leadership in promoting economic development in the Greater Akron Region.
