Steven O. Pittman ’77 has been named managing partner of Bruner-Cox LLP, one of the largest regional certified public accounting and consulting firms in Northeast Ohio.
A certified public accountant, Pittman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the CBA in 1977. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Pittman joined Bruner-Cox in 1978 and has more than 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisition services, financial accounting, reporting, tax strategy and planning and strategic and succession planning. He leads the firm’s merger and acquisition services group and is a member of its tax, construction and real estate, and the manufacturing and wholesale-distribution services groups.
His professional affiliations include The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also is a member of The Institute of Management Accountants and The Ohio Employee Ownership Center.
Pittman is active in the community as a board member of the Stark County Library and Quest Recovery Services Foundation. He is past chairman of Quest Recovery Services, past president of the Jackson Township Rotary Club, board member emeritus and past chairman of Junior Achievement of East Central Ohio and past treasurer of The Builders Exchange of East Central Ohio.
