On March 9, eighth grade students from Entrepreneurship Preparatory School (E-Prep), a Cleveland charter school, visited the CBA to learn more about business, entrepreneurship and The University of Akron’s business programs.
During the morning, the students toured the campus, the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling Laboratory and the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing.
The event was hosted by the Fisher Institute, and Dr. Linda Orr, Interim Director, spoke with students about how sales and entrepreneurship are taught at The University of Akron, and about potential careers in sales.
E-Prep is a public, tuition-free charter school for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students located in East Cleveland. Founded by John Zitner and Marshall Emerson III in the fall of 2006, the school focuses on a curriculum that is based on entrepreneurship.
