CBA Student Wins Scholarship at Supply Chain Management Competition

On April 7, 2011, a team of 4 CBA students, accompanied by Dr. Mahesh Srinivasan, assistant professor of management, traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to participate in the annual Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Supply Chain Challenge College Competition.

Vyshnavi Sivakumaran, a supply chain/operations management major, won the essay competition and was awarded a $2,000 scholarship. She competed against supply chain students from universities like University of North Texas, Duquesne University, Shippensburg and Wayne State University.

The other members of the CBA team are Craig Hartman, Erin Lottman, and Julia Repko.

The Supply Chain Challenge College Competition provides an opportunity for students enrolled in undergraduate supply chain management programs around the country to test their knowledge of the industry. This is the 25th year of the competition.
