CBA Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Gains Recognition Again

The CBA's Kappa of Ohio chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society has been named a Premier Chapter. The CBA chapter received this recognition because of the very high percentage of the college's eligible students who accepted membership in BGS during the chapter’s 2009 initiation. Only 109 of the 487 Beta Gamma Sigma chapters worldwide attained this designation this year.

This is the first year that the CBA chapter has attained Premier Chapter status and the fourth consecutive year that the chapter has earned special recognition. The chapter was recognized as an Exemplary Chapter in the previous three years.

Recognition as a Premier Chapter allows the CBA to participate in the Beta Gamma Sigma $1,000 Scholarship program. The scholarship will be awarded to one of our chapter members for use in the 2010-11 academic year. Premier Chapter status also qualifies the chapter to participate in the 2010 Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Competition.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive. Only AACSB International accredited schools are allowed to form a Beta Gamma Sigma chapter and only the top students at such schools are invited to become members.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma provides lifetime recognition for outstanding academic achievement. As the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can earn, membership is a very impressive statement on a resume.
