Sales management and international business major, Alan Bowdler, was recently sworn in as a student member of The University of Akron Board of Trustees.
Bowdler, of East Liverpool, Ohio, is a junior Honors College student and is very active on campus. He serves as a resident assistant, community assistant, business tutor and is active with Akron C.A.R.E.S.
“I am excited to have this honor’, stated Bowdler. “I think it will be a great opportunity to better serve the students here at Akron. While the appointment is still very new to me, I am looking forward to the unique ability that this position affords to help others.”
Bowdler joins Katie Duff, another CBA student, as the two student members on the board. Their terms expire 2013 and 2012, respectively.
