The Robert D. and Peggy A. Weed Scholarship for Excellence in Business

Established in 1998 by the late Robert D. Weed, the Robert D. and Peggy A. Weed Scholarship for Excellence in Business promotes the ideals of dedication, integrity, innovation and growth. As owner and founder of Robert Weed Plywood, a wholesale warehouse distribution center for RV manufacturers, Mr. Weed attributed his success to people. To Mr. Weed, the most important asset for any business was skilled professionals committed to superior service and doing the job right. Through this scholarship, The University of Akron attracts the most talented and dedicated students pursuing careers in business. The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with high academic standing. Selection of recipients is determined by the CBA Scholarship Committee and is based on academic merit. The scholarship is renewable based on academic qualifications.
