Finance Advisory Board Scholarship Program

The purposes of the Finance Advisory Board Scholarship Program are to:  (1) promote and encourage students who show great promise for successful finance careers in business and government, (2) support the student recruitment efforts of the Department of Finance, and (3) maintain and improve the quality and reputation of Department of Finance programs by attracting excellent students.  A total of four (4) tuition scholarships will be awarded for fall semester 2014.  Each award recipient will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a $2,000 tuition scholarship.

Selection Criteria:

Undergraduate Student

Minimum G.P.A. - 3.20

Demonstrated leadership skills

Extracurricular activities

Outside activities/Work experience

The Department of Finance Scholarship Committee will, in consultation with the Department Head, recommend the award recipients to the Executive Committee of the Finance Advisory Board by March 24, 2014.  The award recipients will be invited to meet with the Finance Advisory Board and will be honored at the Finance Department Student Achievement Luncheon held on April 16, 2014.  Each award recipient will also receive ongoing career advice and counseling from faculty members in the Department of Finance.
