Patrick and Nancy Steinkerchner Roberts Scholarship

The Patrick S. and Nancy Steinkerchner Roberts Endowed Business Scholarship was established in 1998 as a demonstration of their appreciation for their alma mater and the fine education they received. Pat ('88 , '96) and Nancy ('84, '86 and '92) have a long, involved history with The University of Akron. Pat received his BSBA. in Marketing in 1988 and a Masters in Public Administration in 1996. He was active in Student Toastmasters, Pi Sigma Epsilon, Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Association. Pat also held the position of The University of Akron Executive Director of Alumni Development and Director, Development-Major Gifts. Nancy received three degrees from The University of Akron - a BSIM in 1984, MBA in Marketing in 1986, and a J.D. in 1992. Nancy was involved in Omicron Delta Kappa, Delta Gamma, Delta Sigma Pi, Rho Lambda, women's basketball and senior class board. She has remained active with Delta Gamma and is a member of the National Alumni Association Board of Directors. Nancy is general counsel for her family-owned business, American Pro-Mold, Inc. Nancy and Pat both served terms on the CBA Alumni Board and Pat served as chairman in 1992. The scholarship provides $250.


  1. First preference, students majoring in Marketing Management, Sales Management, or Integrated Marketing Communication
  2. Financial need
  3. GPA of 2.5 or above
  4. Active in student organizations (List them)
  5. Demonstrated leadership

When scholarship description states “full-time student”, “junior standing”, or another criterion, this applies to the upcoming academic year (fall/spring).
