Alumni Services

The Center for Career Management offers a variety of services to alumni, from personalized services to career-related events and resources.

Personalized services:

• Individual appointments with a career management advisor in career development to assist you with your career-related needs.
• Designated walk-in hours when alumni can drop-in for quick questions on resumes or interviewing without having to make an appointment. Hours vary by semester and are listed on our homepage.
• Adminstration of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) for career exploration.

Events:

• Coordination of On-Campus Recruiting schedules which allow local, regional, and national employers to interview alumni in our facility.
• Multiple UA Career Fairs where alumni can meet employers for networking and employment opportunities.

Resources:

• A career resource library containing written, audio-visual and electronic materials on career-related topics, multiple computer stations for alumni use, and electronic and paper postings for full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal positions available in the career resource library.
• Online postings through ZIProfessional for full-time opportunities.
• An electronic listing of web links designed to assist alumni at any stage of career development.
• A list of Temporary Hiring Agencies in the Akron area.
• A list of top 100 fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio from the Weatherhead 100.
• A list of great workplaces in Northeast Ohio from the NorthCoast99.

ZIProfessional Registration

• If you are currently enrolled at UA or you already have a ZIPro account, your account expires one year after your graduation date.
• Fee starts after these time periods:
• December graduates - you have until January 31 to obtain a free account.
• May graduates - you have until June 30 to obtain free account.
• August graduates - you have until September 30 to obtain a free account.
• Registration costs for ZIProfessional - $45/year (renewable each year as needed).
