- Cindy Mako Robinson is currently serving as the Interim Co-Director for the Center for Career Management at The University to Akron. The Center is a comprehensive career services office comprised of seven professional staff, five support staff, five career assistants and a number of students and interns. As Co-Director she is specifically responsible for the day-to-day operations of the employer development and cooperative/education and internship functions.
- Cindy is currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and holds a M.S. in Higher Education Administration and a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Akron. Prior to joining the University she worked in the banking industry for six years. Upon leaving the corporate world, she pursued a master’s degree in education full-time, and worked as a graduate assistant in the office of New Student Orientation.
- Cindy has been in higher education for 12 years. In addition to her position in Career Services she has also worked in Academic Advising, New Student Orientation and student activities for the College of Business Administration. She has also taught Student Success Seminar’s and numerous career planning courses at The University of Akron.
- Cindy has been involved in several professional organizations, which include: Ohio Association of College Personnel, ACPA: College Student Educators International; Cooperative Education and Internship Association, Ohio Cooperative Education and Internship Association and the National Association of College and Employers.
- Most recently Cindy served as a member of the 2006 FYE Task Force Roles & Purposes subcommittee and has been elected to the UA Contract Professionals Advisory Committee.
