Abby McGuire - Career Assistant

• Began at the CCM as a freshman Student Assistant and moved on to be a Career Assistant as a Sophomore. Primary Duties include; create and conduct career-related presentations to classrooms, assist students in the Career Resource Library, provide general resume and cover letter critiques, and provide support to CCM events and promotions such as the UA Career Fair.
• Majoring in Business and Organizational Communication expected to graduate in May 2010 to pursue a career in Event Planning.
• Completed Marketing Internship at Consolidus LLC in the Summer of 2009.
• Has been president of The University of Akron's English Equestrian team since 2008. Member of the Tennis club and participates in Campus Focus, intramural volleyball, flag football and tennis.
• Has enjoyed volunteering with hurricane Katrina relief efforts in New Orleans, Relay for Life and the Hy-Vee ITU cup triathlon in Des Moines, Iowa for the past three summers working to coordinate pre and post event massage treatment for numerous tri-athletes, ranging from youth to top ranked professional and Olympic tri-athletes in the world.
