College Relations Strategies

The following career events offer you the opportunity to interact with students while assisting in the preparation of the necessary skills for a successful job search campaign.

If you are interested in participating in any of the following career programming events, while increasing your visibility on campus, please contact our Employer Relations team at (330) 972-5467.

Mock Interviews

The CCM sponsors several Mock Interview Programs throughout the course of the academic year to help students prepare for the interview process. Area employers engage students in simulated professional screening interviews. The program typically takes place in the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling sales laboratory in the College of Business Administration, and every interview session is videotaped for additional feedback.

In addition to interacting with prospective candidates and increasing your visibility on campus, participation with the Mock Interview Program will allow you to "give back" to UA students by providing a valuable service regarding their career development.

Career Strategy Seminars

Helping students and alumni develop the appropriate skills to conduct a job search is one of our top priorities. Employers can play an integral role in this function while increasing visibility on campus, developing relationships with faculty and staff, and interacting with prospective candidates. We will work with you in planning, marketing, and facilitating a career building seminar or workshop of your choice. Some popular topics include:

  • Developing a Winning Resume
  • Interviewing Skills and Techniques
  • Networking Your Way Into a Career
  • Successful Job Search Strategies
  • Pre-Registration and Career Fair Workshops
  • Dress for Interviewing Success
  • Etiquette Luncheon

Other Campus Recruiting Strategies

In addition to the above mentioned programs, employers can also partner with the Center through participation in one of the following:

  • Company Information Sessions
  • Classroom Visits
  • Visiting Student Organizations
  • Student Union Table
