Getting Started with the
Center for Career Management

The Center for Career Management sponsors a variety of career-related events and provides a variety of career development resources for all students. There are some services however, such as ZIProfessional, On-Campus Recruiting, Co-ops/Internships, and Cleveland Intern.net which require certain registration steps to be completed prior to participation.

If you are a senior and graduating within the next year, or an alumni of the University of Akron, please contact us at (330) 972-7747 to schedule an appointment with a staff member. Once you meet with a staff member, you will be provided with a username and password to ZIProfessional. The Center will work with students/alumni to provide alternative forms of service delivery in order to ensure your needs are met.

For students who are interested in a cooperative education or internship experience, you will first need to attend one of our internship orientations and then you will be able to schedule an appointment with one of our Assistant Directors to discuss the details and expectations of cooperative education and internships. Please make sure to bring a copy of your resume to the appointment. Only students who complete this registration process will be given access to ZIProfessional and/or Cleveland Intern.net.
