


Pharmacy Technicians assist licensed pharmacists in serving patients, maintaining medication and inventory control systems, and participating in the administration and management of the pharmacy practice. This course prepares you to take the National Pharmacy Technician Certification exam (CPhT). Topics include the foundation of pharmaceutical care, law and ethics for technicians, pharmaceutical terms and abbreviations, medication dosage forms, administration and classifications. A mathematics review focusing on measurement systems and how to perform dosing calculations will give you a solid and well-rounded foundation. Textbooks included. Cost of the exam is not included. No class July 1, 3, 29, and 31. Last class August 21 will meet from 5:30-9:30 pm.
