Sign Language I

Finger spelling/manual alphabet, basic grammar, vocabulary body language, and facial expressions are introduced in this course. You will  develop an understanding of Deaf and nonverbal populations and learn ways to communicate effectively with them using American Sign Language (ASL). Includes the history and culture of the Deaf community and its impact on the hearing and non-hearing populations. Text approx $60.
