This class offers the opportunity to take your creativity to the outdoors. The University of Akron campus is abundant with many picturesque scenes such as flower gardens and fountains. Render a landscape, a cityscape or just a single flower using the medium of your choosing; pencil, pen and ink, color pencil, pastel or watercolor. Our first session will meet in class to discuss sight selection and shooting photo reference for later use in the studio. Subsequent sessions will move to the outdoors to explore the campus and find inspiration. As you work on your drawings, your instructor with help with framing, composition, lighting, planning, correcting for conditions, and finding the heart of the subject. Course materials list will be sent prior to the first class.
