THE BASICS
Adobe Illustrator software defines the future of vector graphics with groundbreaking creative options and powerful tools for efficiently publishing artwork on the Web, in print, everywhere. You will learn to navigate the software, create and save files, create simple illustrations, draw basic shapes, modify objects, paint with brushes, drawing paths, change fill and stroke options, learn the design tools, work with text. This is not a beginning computer course. Strong computer skills are a must.

ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS2 – ADVANCED
After learning the basics, you can expand your knowledge of Illustrator by working with advanced type features: tabs, MM Design palettes. You will learn to modify images by transforming objects, use the pathfinder, manage colors and create masks, apply color filters, pen and ink filters, and special effects, work with master images, assign URL’s to objects, automate tasks, record, and play actions. Prerequisite: Adobe Illustrator Basic.

PHOTOSHOP LEVEL 1
This hands-on course will introduce methods of contemporary electronic imaging in Photoshop. Includes instruction and practice in photo corrections and enhancements, photo retouching and repairing, selection techniques, using layers, using masks and channels and more. Emphasizes how to work quickly and efficiently. If you are new to Adobe Photoshop, this is a great introduction. This course is applicable to all versions of Photoshop through CS3; Photoshop CS2 will be used in class. Prerequisite: Working knowledge of your computer and its operating system. Must be able to use the keyboard and mouse. Must be able to find and open files and save files.

CREATING WEB GRAPHICS WITH PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop features dozens of useful tools to help you create Web graphics even if you are not a graphic designer. Just a little knowledge from this class can maximize your graphic skills and help your Web sites stand out. Includes how to create graphics and photos with transparent backgrounds, convert a color photo to monochrome, use blending options to give your graphics depth
and dimension, rasterize your text to improve "animated.gifs" (running slide show of photos and graphics). You will also become familiar with the many ways of saving graphics only for the Web. Prerequisite: proficient computer skills using Windows and the Internet.
