CHILDREN'S BOOK ILLUSTRATION
Have you ever wanted to illustrate and publish your own children's book? Learn how to do it with this course. You will select a story and create a portfolio package to send to various publishers with sketches, storyboard, dummy book, and final illustrations. Once these projects are complete, information will be given on how to seek out the right companies to publish your work. No prerequisite, however, basic drawing skills are helpful. Material fee, $20, payable to the instructor.

GET PUBLISHED! WRITING AND ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOP
Do you want to have your book, illustration work or other writing published? In this two session workshop, you will learn how to find the best publishers for your work and how to make a strong promotional packet for multiple submissions. Marketing strategies, copyright, and self promotional materials will be discussed as well as valuable resources that will help you find the ideal niche for your work.

DRAWING WITH COLOR PENCILS
Colored pencil is an easy-to-learn medium that offers the control of the pointed pencil while affording detail and color. This is an introductory class and requires no previous experience. The course covers materials, techniques in shading and blending, information on paper, and how to build layers of color to create beautiful, realistic drawings. Students complete one long-term project. More advanced students are welcomed to work independently on their own project with instructor. A materials list will be sent with registration confirmation letter.

DRAWING FOR REALISM WITH PENCILS
If you have an interest in drawing but have never picked up a pencil, enroll in this course - it is a good introduction to terminology and materials used in drawing. Learn techniques in shading and how to add detail and dimension to your drawing. Create a more realistic look to your subject matter. And of course, have some fun doing it! You will complete one highly detailed drawing. Pen and ink is explored in the last class. More advanced students are welcome to work independently with the instructor on their own project. A materials list will be sent with your registration/confirmation letter.
