Just a little knowledge from this class can maximize your graphic skills and help your websites stand out. Includes how to create graphics and photos with transparent backgrounds, convert a color photo to monochrome, use blending options to give your graphics depth and dimension, rasterize your text to improve "animated.gifs" (running slide show of photos and graphics). You will also become familiar with the many ways of saving graphics only for the Web. Prerequisite: proficient computer skills using Windows and the Internet.

DREAMWEAVER 8 – BASIC
Dreamweaver is the industry-leading web development tool, enabling users to efficiently design, develop and maintain Web sites. If you are ready to learn the basics of Dreamweaver (and you are comfortable operating programs in a Windows environment), then this class is for you. The class includes working with the application interface, site planning, text and color attributes, page layout, inserting graphics, creating links, using templates and how to upload and maintain a site. Prerequisite: proficient computer skills using Windows and the Internet.

FLASH 8 INTRODUCTION
Flash is an interactive design tool used to create vivid animations for publishing, and utilizes graphics, audio, and type. In this beginning level class, you will learn critical Flash basics such as interface management, drawing tools, frames, layers and animation tools. This class provides an essential foundation for the intermediate and advanced levels. Prerequisite: Proficient computer skills with Windows and the Internet.

WEB DESIGN
This course covers the basic concepts of web page design: site planning, storyboarding, writing copy, creating navigation, acquiring graphics and color theory. Includes an overview of software used to create websites. You will design basic web pages using Dreamweaver sample pages. Prerequisite: better-than-basic computer skills, good knowledge of the Internet. Not for beginners.
