Jean Spangler

Sr. Program Assistant – Contract Training and Grants

As a Sr. Program Assistant, Jean prepares proposals, participates in the formulation of budgets, and submits grant applications/reports for customized training programs. Jean also schedules and prepares class materials for six sigma and leadership classes. She has been with The University of Akron for 10 years. Her work history includes a variety of administrative support positions at Bridgestone/Firestone (19 years) and Visiting Nurse Service (5 years).

Jean resides in Barberton with her husband, Bob. Her recreational activities include reading, local sports, music, jewelry making and crocheting.
