Regional NMR Users's Meeting
October 30, 2014
The University of Akron Magnetic Resonance Center would like to invite you to attend and participate in the annual Regional NMR Users’ Meeting October 30, 2014. It will be a day-long symposium with short presentations by regional scientists, and a presentation by invited speakers from outside the region, followed by an evening Banquet. This year we plan to provide space for posters, so that users can share their work during the mixer and breaks.
Some of our corporate sponsors who agreed to support and participate in this event include: ACD Labs, Agilent Technologies, Bruker Biospin, Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Sigma-Aldrich/Isotec and Norell Inc.
I am very pleased to inform you that Professor Louis A. Madsen of Virginia Tech (Dept. of Chemistry and Macromolecules and Interfaces) will be giving the keynote lecture titled:
“Understanding transport and alignment in soft materials using multi-modal NMR “
I will follow up with a formal invitation very soon with more details of the event.
All activities will be held at The University of Akron Student Center (Room 312) beginning at approximately 8:00 AM. A detailed program will be available on-line at a later date. Directions to The University of Akron and a campus map can be found here. Parking passes will be e-mailed in advance to those who register and request a parking pass.
There is no charge to attend the meeting, however, advanced registration is required so that we can plan for adequate accommodations. To obtain information, register and/or give a presentation, please go to our registration page. Deadline for registration is October 23, 2014.
Presentations will be accepted on a first come first served basis until the program is full.
Please share this announcement with anyone who might be interested.
