Liu Xiuhua, Ph.D., is Professor and Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute The University of Akron. She is Professor and Vice Dean at Henan University Graduate School, Dr. Liu is also a Professor and Vice Dean of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering College of Henan University, China.

Qiaofei Zheng, MA
Associate Professor

Qiaofei Zheng MA, is an associate professor in the Normal College for Chinese Language in Jinhua Polytechnic, China. She is a part-time Master's Supervisor. Zheng has been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for 12 years and has taught courses such as Comprehensive Chinese, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Characters and HSK Exam.

Zheng's research interests are in Chinese linguistics and second language acquisitions.


Xiaofei CuiXiaofei Cui Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the International School for Chinese Language and Culture at Henan University. Dr. Cui taught Chinese Language and Culture at National University of Modern Language in Islamabad Pakistan and in Tokyo Japan. For the past 19 years he has taught many different courses such as Modern Chinese Language, Grammar Analysis of Modern Chinese and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.

Dr. Cui has published more than ten articles and two books. His research interests are in applied linguistics, Chinese language and culture, and teaching Chinese as a second language.
