Welcome Week 2005One great aspect of a large, university campus is that there is always something to do. Not only are on-campus activities fun to attend, but they also will assist you with your coursework. Many freshman-level courses will require students to attend on-campus activities to assist in the adjustment to college life.

Here's just a sample of some recent student events:

  • Improve your Test-Taking Skills: Learn special study techniques, test-taking strategies and relaxation skills.
  • How to Choose a Major and a Career: This one-session workshop introduces you to the decision-making process. Participants who want further help choosing a career or major will be referred to career assessment tools and additional CTCC career resources.
  • Untraceable: Catch the latest and greatest blockbuster films at the Student Union Theatre.
  • Dodgeball Tournament: Join the Fiji Student Organization at the Rec Center.

For those involved on campus, college life can nurture new interests, new friendships, new experiences. More than 200 student clubs, societies, teams, associations and councils are active at UA. You are bound to find one or more that will enrich your world.
