Dining Plan Options and Costs

We have a variety of dining plan options available to suit your style. The table below shows the plans available and the costs for each. Below that, you will find a detailed description of our most popular plans.

Please note: Residence hall students are required to participate in the University dining plan options, except residents of Townhouses or Exchange Street Apartments with kitchens.

About the plans

Here is a description of each plan:

• Traditional Dining Plan — With this option, you will enjoy 19, 15, or 10 meals a week at Rob's Café and Trackside Grille at Quaker Square. Rob’s Café offers all you-care-to-eat buffet-style service Monday through Friday (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and Saturday and Sunday (brunch and dinner). Trackside Grille offers soup and salad or other meal equivalent options off our regular menu. With the 19- and 15-meal options, you will receive $100 Dining Dollars per semester; Dining Dollars can be used to purchase food at any of the 40 to 60 off-campus eateries that accept the Zip Card. You may also use these plans at our Summit Bistro, Union Market and Zee’s Convenient Stores – up to a $5 food purchase is equivalent to one meal swipe.


• Gold Plan — With this option, you will receive $1,517 in Dining Dollars per semester. Dining Dollars can be used at any on-campus eatery and at our Zee's Convenience Stores. When Dining Dollars are used at Rob's Café or the Trackside Grille, you will receive a 25 percent discount off of the door rate. Dining Dollars also offer terrific flexibility: They can be used off-campus at any eaterie that accepts the Zip Card.

  The difference between the cost and the amount of Dining Dollars awarded allows Dining Services to:

  • update dining facilities in response to student requests,
  • maintain a competitive wage and incentive plan for student employees,
  • continue to offer students the conveniences they have asked for, such as extended hours and special programming, and
  • provide Dining Services staff with advanced safety and culinary training.


• Unlimited Plan — With this dining plan, you may enter Rob's Café as many times as you want during the hours of operation.
  
  This plan offers the flexibility and exceptional value for students that have hectic schedules, need a snack between classes, or want to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating several small meals per day. We will also add $100 to your Dining Dollars to be used to purchase food at the many outlets on and off campus that accept the Zip Card.

Change your plan: Want to change your plan? Visit a Zip Card Office (located in the Student Union, the Polsky Building and Simmons Hall) and ask for a dining-plan change form.
