These NMR instruments are 300 MHz spectrometers equipped to observe 1H/19F and 13C/31P. In addition to routine 1-D 1H and 13C spectra, homo- and heteronuclear decoupling, APT, DEPT, COSY, HETCOR (Heteronuclear shift correlation), homonuclear-2DJ, NOE Difference and saturation experiments etc., can be performed.
The Mercury instruments are intended to be walk up instruments for undergraduate and graduate student research. Only people who have been checked out by lab personnel are allowed to use the instrument.
These instruments are intended for routine walk-up access, however up to 30 minute time slots may be reserved between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.; two hour time slots can be reserved from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., and up to 10 hours can be reserved between 10:00 P.M. and 8:00 AM.; Signup is via a reservation system accesible via the Magnet Intranet.
Instrument rates for UA users can be found on the Magnet Intranet Rates page. |
