Dr. Mary Biddinger teaches courses in poetry writing and literature, and serves as Director of the NEOMFA: Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing. Her poems have appeared in a variety of journals including Crazyhorse, Gulf Coast, The Iowa Review, The Laurel Review, North American Review, and Ploughshares, and she is the author of Prairie Fever (Steel Toe Books, 2007). Her writing has been recognized with awards from the Illinois Arts Council, Ohio Arts Council, and Ragdale Foundation. She is the Editor of the Akron Series in Poetry, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the literary journal Barn Owl Review. In addition to creative writing, Dr. Biddinger’s research interests include Modern and Contemporary Poetry, Urban Literature, and World Literature.
