Joseph F. Ceccio teaches Shakespeare's early plays, Shakespeare's mature plays, and Shakespeare in his world. Also teaches legal writing and professional writing courses, as well as writing for MBAs, fiction appreciation, English literature I, and novels of Anne Rice and Joyce Carol Oates. Has published in business and professional communication journals; has written two books. Codirects the certificate program in professional communication. Chairs the annual Shakespeare essay prize contest. Has recently published two articles on Anne Rice's novels. Especially interested in Shakespeare on film. Chairs the annual Shakespeare in the Spring Festival. Beginning in Summer 2002, Dr. Ceccio will also teach Eros and Love in Early Western Literature (469/569) as a world/multicultural course.
