William Francis, serves as an associate dean of the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences. He teaches American Literature 1 and 2, and 20th Century Women Writers. His research areas are American fiction since 1945 and New Orleans novelists from 1877 to the present. He has published interviews with novelist Vance Bourjaily, (Names and The Literary Review ), and New Orleans novelists Sheila Bosworth, Nancy Lemann, and Christine Wiltz (The Southern Quarterly). He has also worked on the New Orleans setting of the film version of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire.
