 Mr. Eric Wasserman
Eric Wasserman teaches Fiction Writing, Craft & Theory of the Short Story, Fiction Appreciation, Black American Writers, Composition, and serves on the faculty of the NEOMFA: Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in various publications, including Glimmer Train, Poets & Writers Magazine Online, Michigan Quarterly Review, Istanbul Literary Review, and Vermont Literary Review. His short story “He’s No Sandy Koufax” won First Prize in the 13th Annual David Dornstein Creative Writing Contest, and his story "Brothers" was named as the winner of the 2007 Cervena Barva Press Fiction Chapbook Prize. He is also the author of a book of short fiction, The Temporary Life. Professor Wasserman's interests include the Researched Novel, Silent Film as Literary Narrative, Novel-to-Film Adaptation, Jewish-American Literature, the Hebrew Bible as Literature, and Contemporary Religion-Influenced Fiction.
