Terrestrial Records of Environmental Change (TREC)

TREC Goals

Understanding how and why the terrestrial environment has changed provides society with a better understanding of:
  • how the environment operates today

  • the range and rate of change possible in the future

  • the impact of human activities on the environment

Faculty in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science have research programs studying TREC goals. The TREC program provides students with opportunities to conduct independent research. Research projects on a variety of levels are available for undergraduate and graduate students.
