My colleagues (Neil Wells, Kent State University and Sandra Madar, Hiram College) and I are currently funded by the National Geographic Society to conduct a field project entitled: Prospecting for Cetaceans and Tethytheres in the Paleogene of Oman. I have collected and am currently analyzing the invertebrate fossils with the Rusayl, Jafnayn and Seeb Formations in order to reconstruct the paleonenvironment during this critical interval of whale evolution.
