Jim co-chairs SS&G’s Accounting and Assurance Services Department. Jim has almost 20 years of experience servicing clients in the manufacturing and service industries, which includes assurance services over their financial statements, tax planning, financing, cash flow analysis and other business advisory services. Jim also consults with clients on merger transactions, including preparation of pro-forma financial information and bank covenant compliance structuring. Jim is also responsible for the firm’s continuing education of its staff members.
Jim received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Akron, where he graduated magna cum laude. Prior to joining SS&G, Jim spent seven years collectively at a large local accounting firm and also at Ernst & Whinney in Cleveland. Jim has served as president of the Akron/Canton Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs. He is a member of the AICPA and the OSCPA.
