Chris is a partner at Skoda, Minotti & Co. Since earning a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Akron in 1988, he has been consulting with business owners, managers and individuals to assist them in achieving their business and professional goals.

Chris works closely with his clients in a variety of roles ranging from business advisor and strategist to financial and tax consultant to relationship manager. As business manager and strategist, he helps clients define goals and objectives and implement strategies to accomplish them. In this role, he assists entrepreneurs and investors buying and selling businesses, including deal structuring, evaluating financing alternatives and performing financial and tax due diligence. This overlaps with his role as a financial and tax consultant focusing on tax minimization strategies that drive results to the bottom line. He also advised on compensation issues for employees and independent contractors. As a relationship manager, Chris coordinates the service offerings of other advisors, such as attorneys and bankers, to small business owners.

Chris practices extensively in the areas of U.S. federal and state taxation specializing in corporate and partnership, including all types of pass-through entities, and individual taxation. He advises clients regarding the tax ramifications of transactional structuring, and merger and acquisitions. His fields of expertise are in Manufacturing, Construction, Real Estate and Service industries. Chris also has extensive experience as an advocate for his clients before the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities. He works with businesses of varying sizes in these industries, ranging from sole proprietorship to smaller publicly-held corporations with annual revenues exceeding $100 million.

In addition to serving on the University of Akron’s School of Accountancy Advisory Board, he is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
