Experience
Barry brings extensive experience in public accounting, especially technical accounting and auditing, to every engagement, focusing heavily on developing financial statements and corporate tax returns. His primary emphasis is planning and scheduling engagements, directing the day-to-day progress of field work, and performing preliminary reviews of financial statements. He also has significant responsibility within the firm for quality control.
He has spent several years working with closely held and public companies in manufacturing, distribution, construction, and communications. He also has worked extensively with tax matters and data extraction software, and he has experience with acquisitions and divestures of businesses. He also has a significant knowledge of corporate tax matters, having defended clients to the Internal Revenue Service and state tax examiners. In his service to public companies, he has worked closely with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Barry excels not only in his general business knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial matters, but also in his ability to leverage technology to the benefit of his clients. He prides himself in his knowledge of cutting-edge technological tools that enable him to maximize results.
