About the College of Business Administration

Founded in 1953, the College of Business Administration is a dynamic and diversified professional college of The University of Akron with a mission to prepare competent and responsible business professionals. Along with the School of Accountancy, the college is accredited by AACSB International. Enrollment is currently more than 2,800 undergraduate majors, and over 350 graduate students. Our graduate program has been included in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 editions of The Princeton Review’s “Best” Business Schools”. Undergraduate student organization chapters and teams have won several national and international awards. With our School of Accountancy, departments of finance, management, and marketing, institutes for direct marketing, entrepreneurial studies, global business, and professional selling, and centers for organizational development and information technologies and ebusiness, we offer an array of baccalaureate, masters and professional learning opportunities not found at many business colleges. The college has a rich history of interaction with the business community. Currently the College has 8 advisory boards for its various centers and departments, with a total of 250 members from business and industry.
