| The Master of Science in Management (MSM) program begins with a set of foundation courses. Since the degree is a management degree, it is important that the student be aware of more than just their specific discipline and have an awareness of the overall functions of the firm. The second component of the MSM program is the Management core. This set of 12 credits expands on the foundation coursework and includes required coursework in data analysis and information systems. Beyond that, students are free to choose between pairs of courses to satisfy the core requirements of the program. Human resource students will take both organization theory and behavior since the course that they do not select in the core part of the program is required in the HR option. The option coursework forms the third part of the program with students undertaking in depth study in either information systems or human resource management. The foundation coursework totals 24 credits and the remainder of the program is 33 credits. Foundation courses may be waived thus reducing the length of the program to a minimum of 33 credits. |
