The Foundation courses of the Master of Taxation program are intended to provide the student in the program with minimal accounting background sufficient background to study the advanced courses in taxation. Individuals who have an accounting undergraduate degree which has been awarded within the past six years and have done well in that program can normally expect to waive out of some of these foundation classes. Also individuals who are practicing CPA will normally have foundation courses waived. The final determination of which courses can or cannot be waived will be made at the time of a newly admitted student’s entry appointment.
