Dr. Bill Hauser selected to be recipient of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award.

Bill Hauser has been selected by the Akron affiliate of the Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) to be one of their recipients of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award. This honor annually recognizes outstanding accomplishments of sales and marketing professionals in the Akron area. SMEI is recognizing Bill for his two decades of work as Manager of Research and Business Development for Rubbermaid and Little Tikes, as Senior Vice President/Director of Market Research and Planning at KeyCorp in Cleveland, and, most importantly, as an assistant professor in Marketing in the College of Business Administration at The University of Akron. Bill was nominated for this award by Jim Borreici, one of his former students and a graduate of the College of Business at The University of Akron..

The award was presented at SMEI Akron’s 36th annual awards gala held on February 19, 2008, at the Tangier Restaurant in Akron. Bill joins the following list of CBA Marketing faculty who have received this award in the past: Jon Hawes, George Prough, Dale Lewison, and Mike D’Amico.
