Nicholas T. George of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP Receives Outstanding Entrepreneurial Leadership Award
 
Akron, OH - Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP ("BDB") is proud to announce that Nicholas T. George, President & CEO, was the recipient of the Outstanding Entrepreneurial Leadership Award presented by the University of Akron’s Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies on Thursday, April 19. This award is given to an individual or organization that has shown extraordinary entrepreneurial leadership abilities. The award ceremony was part of the 4th Annual Kaufman Business Lecture Series.

The Kaufman Business Speaker Series, now in its fourth year, was founded by The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration through a gift from Donald L. Kaufman, retired president and CEO of Alside, Inc. This year’s lecture was also sponsored by the only student entrepreneurship organization at the University of Akron, Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Mr. George is a member of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs’ Business and Real Estate & Construction Practice Groups. Mr. George provides day-to-day consultation to businesses throughout northeast Ohio and is counsel to a number of commercial real estate developers. He is a Board Member of the Autism Family Foundation of Northeast Ohio, a Board Member of The Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Charitable Foundation, a Board Member of Heart-to-Heart Communications, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) Foundation, a member of the Rotary Club of Akron and of the Rotary Club of Akron Camp for Special Children, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a Board Member of the Summit County Chapter of the American Heart Association.

Mr. George holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron and earned his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1970. He joined Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP in 1997 when the law firm of Nicholas T. George & Associates merged with Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs. Mr. George is also a member of the American, Ohio, and Akron Bar Associations.
