Taylor Institute Dedication

On November 9, 2004, The University of Akron dedicated the Gary L. and Karen S. Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing. Made possible by a donation from InfoCision Management Corporation founder Gary L. Taylor and his wife Karen, The Taylor Institute is the most sophisticated direct marketing school in the country.

Created to elevate the direct marketing industry and provide students entering the field with valuable skills, the Institute offers an e-marketing and advertising major and two minor programs in database marketing and direct interactive marketing. High-profile direct marketing practitioners will act as faculty, administrators and advisors, giving the Institute a unique competitive advantage. The classes will balance direct marketing theory with practicum.

Located on the fifth floor of the renovated Polsky building in downtown Akron, the Taylor Institute consists of six state-of-the-art direct marketing laboratories, two seminar rooms and an office suite.
