Interaction 2008
On May 15, 2008, The Taylor Institute will co-sponsor the third annual Great Lakes Direct Marketing conference called Interaction 2008. Thie one day conference features speakers with expertise in direct marketing including multi-channel marketing, creative marketing, marketing analytics, and ethics. Jeffrey Hayzlett, Chief Business Development Officer and Vice President,
Eastman Kodak Company, will receive the 2008 Taylor Institute Direct Marketer of the Year award. Interaction 2008 will be held on May 15, 2008 at The Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing on the University of Akron campus.

Jeffrey Hayzlett Wins 2007 Direct Marketer of the Year Award
The Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing is honored to name Jeffrey Hayzlett as the recipient of the Taylor Institute Direct Marketer of the Year Award for 2007 and will also be the events’ seminal Keynote Speaker. Mr. Hayzlett will present concepts that shaped the “New Kodak Way”; the pivotal brand transformation strategy that bridged Kodak from a 21st-century product into a 21st-century brand experience.
The Direct Marketer of the Year honor is awarded annually, based on nominations from academics and practitioners and then selected by the Taylor Institute's Executive Advisory Board. To view more information, please click here. |

Marketing In The 21st Century
The Taylor Institute brought together over 60 leading academicians and practitioners to create Marketing in the 21st Century. This four volume set provides users with discussions of current trends and future directions in marketing. Volumes include: Volume 1: New World Marketing; Volume 2: Interactive and Multi-Channel Marketing; Volume 3: Company and Customer Relations and Volume 4: Integrated Marketing Communications. The set is due out in mid-2007. |

Direct Marketing : An International Journal
Working with Emerald Publishing Group, Ltd of London, England, the Taylor Institute has created the first refereed on direct marketing at the international level. The inaugural issue of the journal, Direct Marketing: An International Journal, was issued during the spring of 2007. This unique journal focuses on the role of direct marketing (from both practitioner and academic points of view) as it continues to grow internationally. Direct Marketing In Action
The Taylor Institute recently released (November 2006) its first book called Direct Marketing in Action. (Praeger Publications) Written by faculty and practitioners associated with the institute, the book is targeted toward practitioners and looks at a 12 stage process to do direct marketing. This book is currently available at Amazon. |
