Christa Carone Christa Carone Wins 2008 Direct Marketer of the Year Award


The Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing is honored to name Christa Carone as the recipient of the Taylor Institute Direct Marketer of the Year Award for 2008 and will also be the events’ seminal Keynote Speaker.

Christa Carone is vice president, marketing and
communications for Xerox Corporation, serving as the
company’s chief marketing officer. She was named to
this position in September 2008, and is responsible for
global marketing strategy and initiatives that include
advertising, experiential marketing, public relations,
internal communications, integrated campaigns,
interactive marketing, and the Xerox Foundation.

The Direct Marketer of the Year honor is awarded annually, based on nominations from academics and practitioners and then selected by the Taylor Institute's Executive Advisory Board. To view more information, please click here.
Interaction 2009 Interaction 2009

On May 15, 2009, The Taylor Institute co-sponsored the fourth annual Great Lakes Direct Marketing conference called Interaction 2009. The one day conference features speakers with expertise in direct marketing including multi-channel marketing, creative marketing, marketing analytics, and ethics. Christa Carone, Chief Marketing Officer,
Xerox Corporation, will receive the 2008 Taylor Institute Direct Marketer of the Year award.

First Annual Resume Workshop Marketing Career Interview Workshop: Connect with the Professionals

On Wednesday Evening, February 4th, 2009 over 175 students attended the first annual
Marketing Career Interview Workshop: Connect with the Professionals
here at the Taylor Institute.

The event helps our University of Akron marketing, sales and international business students to be as well prepared as possible. Events included a Resume Workshop conducted by The Center for Career Management, Resume Critiques by Faculty, and Mock Interviews by practicing business professionals. Please click here.
Marketing In The 21st Century


The Taylor Institute brought together over 60 leading academicians and practitioners to create Marketing in the 21st Century. This four volume set provides users with discussions of current trends and future directions in marketing. Volumes include: Volume 1: New World Marketing; Volume 2: Interactive and Multi-Channel Marketing; Volume 3: Company and Customer Relations and Volume 4: Integrated Marketing Communications. The set is due out in mid-2007.
Direct Marketing In Action Direct Marketing In Action

The Taylor Institute recently released (November 2006) its first book called Direct Marketing in Action. (Praeger Publications) Written by faculty and practitioners associated with the institute, the book is targeted toward practitioners and looks at a 12 stage process to do direct marketing. This book is currently available at Amazon.
