The College of Business Administration offers certificate programs in Entrepreneurship, Financial Planning, Health Care Selling, International Business, Professional Selling, and Retail Marketing.

Upon completion of any program, a statement will be placed on the student’s permanent record indicating the area of concentration. The certificate indicating the area of concentration will be awarded when the student completes requirements for a degree unless the program specifies that it is free standing and does not require participation in a degree program. In order to earn a certificate, the student must maintain a 2.0 GPA in the certificate area of study. A certificate may be designated at any time during the student’s career up to and including the time the degree clearance is processed. Application for a certificate should be submitted, in writing, to the Office of Undergraduate Advising, College of Business Administration, Room 260.

With the exception of internships, courses for a certificate may not be taken credit/non-credit. All credits must be earned. The student must earn at least nine credits at The University of Akron.
