International Reading Association
The International Reading Association is the world’s leading organization of literacy professionals. Members rely on us for the professional development resources they need to reach our shared goal: Teaching the world to read.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization

National Council of Teachers of English
The National Council of Teachers of English is devoted to improving the teaching and learning of English and the language arts at all levels of education. Since 1911, NCTE has provided a forum for the profession, an array of opportunities for teachers to continue their professional growth throughout their careers, and a framework for cooperation to deal with issues that affect the teaching of English.

Ohio Council of Teachers of English Language Arts (OCTELA)
OCTELA strives to provide its members and others with information about theory and research in English language arts and also demonstrate practical applications of that information in teaching English language arts. OCTELA members hope to improve the effectiveness of the teaching of English language arts through many initiatives

Ohio Council of the International Reading Association (OCIRA)
The Ohio Council of the International Reading Association supports and promotes literacy to help all Ohioans reach their full potential and develop a life-long love of reading.

Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA)
OELMA is a professional organization dedicated to educational, literary and technological excellence in library/media services in Ohio's schools. We are the educators who link students, teachers, and other members of the learning community to the world of information.

Ohio Department of Education
Factual and useful site providing information about school in the state of Ohio. Overviews concerning Ohio laws, rules and regulations are also included.

Ohio Library Association
Our mission is to ensure that all Ohio residents have fast, free public Internet access throughout the state, as well as the use of high-quality research-databases not freely available on the World Wide Web.

Ohio Literacy Resource Center
The Ohio Literacy Resource Center provides support, training and resources for the people who work in the field of Adult Basic and Literacy Education in the State of Ohio.

Ohio Resource Center for Mathematics, Science and Reading
ORC enhances teaching and learning by promoting standards-based best practices in mathematics, science, and reading for Ohio schools and universities. ORC serves as a trusted source of easily accessible, peer-reviewed, high-quality, and effective resources.

U.S. Department of Education
ED was created in 1980 by combining offices from several federal agencies. Its original directive remains its mission today — to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation.

Ohio Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
OhioTESOL, an association of teachers of English to speakers of other languages, provides professional representation, resources, and expertise in support of institutions and individuals dedicated to the education of learners for whom English is a non-native language.
